- AIME, the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event, will expand to its largest ever footprint when it returns to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 15 to 17 February 2027, TradeArabia reported on 27 August. The show has also adopted a new brand identity as it enters its 34th year.

The show is owned by the Melbourne Convention Bureau and managed by Talk2 Media and Events, according to its website. The report describes AIME as the largest and longest-running business events trade show in the Asia Pacific, and says it is coming off five consecutive years of growth.

The organiser's report on the 2026 show gives 766 exhibitors from 36 countries, a 13 per cent increase in participation on the previous year, along with more than 1,500 vetted buyers and more than 5,000 attendees. It records nearly 25,000 meetings and $425 million in business generated.

The show's website lists Knowledge Monday and the Welcome Event on Monday 15 February 2027, followed by the trade show and Ideas Academy on the Floor on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 February. The website now gives its figures as more than 800 exhibitors and more than 1,600 vetted buyers, without naming the year they apply to.

The new identity, made with Studio Quarantine, carries the line “Bring your ambition to Melbourne. Share it with the world.” According to the report, its symbol is built from directional shapes that spell out AIME and draws on the paper daisy, Melbourne's floral emblem.

Julia Swanson, chief executive of the Melbourne Convention Bureau, was quoted in the report as saying: “AIME has been the premier platform where international decision-makers connect and build long-term value in Melbourne.”

Applications are open for the 2027 Hosted Buyer Programme, which the report says is aimed at corporate event planners, incentive specialists and professional conference organisers. Approved buyers receive return flights, accommodation and a pre-scheduled appointment diary. The show has also listed its 2028 dates, 14 to 16 February.
